We’re all aware that pension legislation is changing and the new law means that every employer must automatically enrol workers into a workplace pension scheme.
It’s extremely worrying how many contacts I have met who have little or no information regarding this. Leaving it too late will almost certainly incur a fine, something which no business can risk.
At the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC) we are committed to working with our tenants and clients to provide them with events that help to provide information on current affairs and news that may have an effect on their business.
We currently have 140 tenants on our site who work within a range of sectors, including virtual businesses. Overseeing the growth and success of these businesses, the North East BIC employ a dedicated business mentor, Louise Hardy, with a strong background in the financial industry.
With over 10 years experience, Louise is reminding all business owners to not bury their heads in the sand and not think of this as a small niggle that they will get to sorting out later.
This is an urgent business matter that really can’t afford to be missed.
With this in mind, we have planned an free auto-enrolment seminar working in conjunction with WJR Financial Solutions. We believe that by offering this free of charge it will encourage delegates to come along to hear all about the changes and decide if it will affect them.
The changes vary from retirement ages to increase, to restrictions on how much you are able to contribute towards private pensions.
We still have spaces on our event, all are welcome, running on Thursday 29th January from 8.30am – 9.30am (perfect before your working day begins)
