The sessions take place in a very relaxed environment and are designed to stimulate creative thinking.
So, if you’re thinking of setting up, what are you waiting for?!
Workshop 1: How to start your own business
2/11/22, 9:30am-12:30pm
The ‘How to start your own business’ workshop is the first of three in the series and will cover everything you need to know about getting started.
Whether it’s a full-time business, side hustle or a hobby you’re turning into an income, we will eliminate the anxieties holding you back and help turn your dream into reality.
The workshop also covers the highs and the lows of being your own boss, from funding to budgeting, accounting to recruitment. Your adviser will outline the practical aspects of business ownership, such as the skills required, the correct legal structure, pricing and marketing, and how to build a reliable support network.
Workshop 2: How to secure your first customers
9/11/22, 9:30am-12:30pm
The second free workshop in this series will help you develop an understanding of how to secure your first customers.
Often seen as the most daunting prospect when starting out, this workshop will provide an overview of the basics of market research and how to get to know your customers.
Understanding who they are, where they are and how best to reach them is key to any successful business, and we’ll help you overcome each of those barriers.
The session will also help you look at who and where your competitors are and research the market you will be competing in!
Workshop 3: Managing your Money
16/11/22, 9:30am-12:30pm
Want to set up a business but unsure if you’ve got the money required to get your idea off the ground?
The third and final workshop in the series, ‘Managing your Money’ will provide you with everything you need to know!
From covering your business costs to taking a wage and pricing your products or services, this informal session will help you look at all of the above, including basic bookkeeping and what you need to know for HMRC.
