The North East BIC with its partner Enterprise Made Simple (EMS) will be hosting and delivering a 2 day Start Marketing (Level 2) course commencing Thursday 28th November.
Start Marketing is an introduction to using social media to promote your business, whether you are starting or developing your digital marketing content. This course is designed with practical aspects to give you a hands-on approach, recognising the differences between personal and business use of social media.
Who is best suited to attend?
- Self employed/Sole traders/business owners.
- Employees who work in businesses who are responsible for social media.
- Those looking to gain a basic understanding of social media.
What topics will we cover?
- The benefits of using social media to conduct market research.
- Pros and cons of promotions using social media.
- How to use social media applications.
- Creating a profile on a social network.
- Communicating with others to promote your products.
Why should I attend?
Gain qualification: NCFE Level 2 in Digital Promotion on Social Media.
Past experience in this field isn’t essential as the course will cover the basics.
What are the practicalities?
Training will take place at North East BIC, Enterprise Park East, Sunderland, SR5 2TA.
All courses run from 9am-5pm unless otherwise stated and lunch will be provided. We will check any dietary requirements the week before your course.
This is a 2 day course taking place on 28th and 29th November.

Each course that EMS delivers is funded in different ways so the eligibility for this course may not be the same as others, please do check with us if you have any concerns.
NCFE Level 2 Award in Digital Promotion eligibility
- Age 19+
- Can be employed or unemployed
- Must live or work in Sunderland
Plus one of the following
- Earn less than £25,000 per year
- Not have a similar qualification
